Amazon PPC (Pay-Per-Click) Management is the ongoing process of creating, optimizing, and scaling ad campaigns on Amazon to increase product visibility, drive sales, and maximize return on ad spend (ROAS). It involves strategic keyword research, bid adjustments, performance tracking, and A/B testing.
ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sales) is a key Amazon metric that shows how much you spend on ads to generate $1 of sales.
Formula: ACoS = (Ad Spend ÷ Ad Sales) × 100
For example, if you spent $25 to make $100 in sales, your ACoS is 25%.
To reduce ACoS and boost ROAS (Return on Ad Spend):
Target high-converting keywords
Use negative keywords to block wasteful clicks
Optimize product listings (images, titles, bullet points)
Focus on profitable long-tail and branded keywords
Continuously adjust bids based on data
A higher conversion rate means more sales with the same number of clicks, which lowers your ACoS. If your product listing converts well, your ads become more cost-efficient — and Amazon may even reward you with better placement.
Branded keywords include your brand name (e.g., “Nike running shoes”) and usually convert better but reach existing customers.
Non-branded keywords are broader (e.g., “running shoes”) and help acquire new customers, though they may have higher ACoS.
Sponsored Display is Amazon’s self-serve ad format for remarketing and competitor targeting.
Amazon DSP (Demand Side Platform) is more advanced, offering broader audience targeting across Amazon and external websites.
DSP is more powerful but requires higher budgets and is better for scaling established brands.
We recommend optimizing Amazon campaigns weekly — reviewing search term reports, adjusting bids, adding negatives, testing new keywords, and checking ACoS. High-volume campaigns may need daily adjustments for best performance.
